Diana WiedemannDiana Wiedemann Designs, located on Northern California’s beautiful Mendocino Coast, specializes
in integrative residential design. Chief Architect
Diana Wiedemann, holding a Masters degree in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, has twenty-five years of extensive practice on the North Coast.
Her firm’s practice is highly collaborative in nature, approaching design as a dialogue between client, architect, and site.
Each design project provides an opportunity for innovative solutions relevant to the project environs and tailored to the client’s distinctive desires, personality and budget.

Design begins with inspiration from the unique characteristics of the site and leads to the creation of architecture that is congruous with the land and surroundings. The firm has established expertise in obtaining complex Local Coastal Plan permits, and in protecting clients with detailed contract documents. The construction team is handpicked to guide the project through all phases of development to completion of the finished design and landscaping.

Our architectural designs balance modern and traditional tastes, with a focus on volume, light, composition, and texture to enhance the quality of space. We integrate current technology, which allows for healthy and energy efficient designs, while maintaining a deep commitment to environmental sustainability. An integral part of our practice is interior finishes and lighting design. Observing and understanding the play of natural & mechanical lighting is of paramount importance in our work.

Personal service, creative problem solving, value, integrity and collaboration along with exciting design solutions, are the hallmarks of our practice.
